Holiday...ohyeah...Celebrate....Holiday.....Celebrate

Well our bags are packed, we've finally found a housesitter (what a chore that was, that's a whole other story) and the kids are jumping around with excitement.   Yes, yes it's true you will have to survive for a while without me.......I'm jetting off with my family to the Sunshine coast in the morning and I truly will not miss any of you LOL.  Well maybe for a second or two but then I will grab my next champagne and swig it down and all thoughts of you guys will disappear, hehe.

I will have very limited access to email but my mobile will be with me, but call with caution, champagne o'clock starts an awful lot earlier when I'm on holidays.

See you when I get back, don't miss me too much.

Why I love what I do........

I always love what I do, I know I'm blessed.  But when it is crazy busy like it has been lately, there are times when it is easy to forget.  This session made me remember............it's no secret that newborn sessions are my favourite.  That being said, they are by far the hardest sessions because you can't reason with a newborn, you can't bribe them, try to make them laugh, act silly to get a smile.  Nope....they rule the session and you have to play along.  This sweet princess reminded me that I am living my dream and how lucky I am to spend time with such new little people and their families.

big brother, what a sweetie, he called me "Lis" from the moment he got here, just like we'd known each other forever....

3 Beautiful Girls!!!!!!!!

These girls were just so gorgeous in their divine matching dresses.  Mum just brought them back from their European trip and she was so sad that there wasn't one in her size, hehe.  Wouldn't that have been gorgeous???????  All the girls were so sweet and fun, especially the little one.  She was funny and determined and kept me on my toes that's for sure.  And the two big girls, well they were just as wonderful as they could be.  What a great session.........

The Collette Dinnigan Baby........

Last week I was talking about a little designer baby that came to play, this week a gorgeous little babe came along who had designer wear also.  She had the cutest little Collette Dinnigan pants, I mean, who knew Collette Dinnigan made children's clothing.  The parents received them as a gift and were surprised as well.  Happy dance here, you know how I love cute clothes.  But the best bit about this session was this gorgeous divine baby.  She was sooooo happy, had the sweetest gummy smiles and parents who were completely ga-ga for her.  I love this age, it's the perfect baby age...........

I adore this photo, it has such an old fashioned feel to it, which fits perfectly because little Miss S had a lovely old fashioned look about her

I've just realised, hehe that after all of my Collette Dinnigan ramblings I didn't post a picture of her in them.  I promise to soon.

What a "Jolly" big family............

I love these clients, they've been here before, we have mutual friends and we always have fun.  And this session was no exception.  There were grandparents and aunties, uncles, mummies, daddies, grandkids, sisters, brothers, kids.................well I'm making it sound more crowded than it was, it was only 9 people but it felt like 90 at times when they were all trying to get together for group shots LOL.  Complete chaos and complete fun, just the way I like it.  Enjoy!!!!!!!!

I'm a bad bad blogger aren't I LOL..........

Where have I been I hear you ask?  Well I'll tell you, up to my eyeballs in work.  Seriously people, it's great to be busy but this is getting a little ridiculous, hehe...........lucky I love what I do hey.

So I'm sorry.  Won't happen again, until next week of course LOL..............

Designer Baby and the mummy who became a tree, LOL......

I met this gorgeous 11 month old this week and she just has the most exquisite wardrobe.  Her clothes were just so beautiful and of course you know I'm a sucker for a beanie, hehe.  She was just so good and I know mum and dad will just be soooo happy when they see the photos.

On a side note, I wanted to talk about the lengths her mummy went to for those extra special smiles she wanted from the shoot.  She absolutely went above and beyond to make her little girl laugh and it sure worked.  Her husband and I were laughing quite a bit too, hehe.  I won't go into the gory details but it involved a tree, some leaves, a branch and yeah, we'll just leave it there.  There is photographic evidence but I like her too much to share it here LOL.  Needless to say I want to thank her because I love a good laugh, hehe and laugh we did.  I also love it when parents can just be completely in the moment, having fun with their kids and just being crazy to help the children feel relaxed and natural and happy.  I definitely think you can see it in the images............

Lovin this hat sooooo much.........

Don't think that the dad didn't do some funny things also, but mum was lots of fun that's for sure.  Dad was doing his crazy stuff behind my back while I was shooting so he's lucky I couldn't see him I think LOL.

As pretty as a flower...........

This gorgeous little girl has the name of a flower.  See if you can guess what flower name would suit her?

She was just so good, let us jiggle her around in all sorts of spots and was really just so content.  Mum and I had a wonderful time gasbagging and it felt more like a catch up with a friend out in the sun than work, hehe.  All that was missing was the champagne...................oh dear did I just say that out loud!!!!!!!

This little flower had the most beautiful outfits with her, I was doing the happy dance when I saw it all.  And why shouldn't she, her parents own Modern Parents Vintage Ways, one of the coolest online kids clothing & accessories company's ever.

I often get emails from clients wanting some guidance in what to buy for their children to wear for sessions.  Well if you have little ones, ANYTHING from Modern Parents Vintage Ways would be perfect.  Oh my, their stuff is just soooo delicious.  Almost makes me want to have another baby (well not almost LOL but you get my drift)............make sure you check their cool stuff out.

Anyway back to the reason for this post, introducing 3 week old Miss P.............

I have been dying to try this shot ever since I bought this clock.  Truth be told I bought the clock just so I could get this shot (don't tell the Singing Chef).....he thinks I bought it because it would look nice on the wall LOL

Mr. Eyebrows and his supermodel brother

I had soooooooooo much fun with this family.  Mum was just as sweet as she could be, dad was a stirrer and lots of fun (just the way I like dads), a big brother who completely transformed into a model right before our eyes and a little brother who was doing this wacky eyebrow thing the whole time.  It was driving mum and dad mad (I thought it was funny, hehe) but I knew in between the raised eyebrows that we got some gorgeous shots.  I know mum is stalking the blog waiting to see these so here you go 'N'............

I mean, seriously, how cute is this family.  Gorgeous!!!!!!

Here he is, Mr. Cool...........

This little guy and I bonded over Ninja Turtles and Spiderman.  I think he thinks I'm kinda cool (which I am of course, I'm totally hip and jiggy with TMNT and Spidey)

Look at these lips..........

This little sweetie pie is only 11 days old and she was just so perfect throughout her session.  She didn't cry even one time and was pretty happy for us to move her around into all sorts of positions.  And those chubby cheeks and lips had me mesmerised...........

I know mum will be so happy to see this little sneak peek!!!!!!!!!
